The Founders Story

Polly Benson knows exactly what it feels like to figure it all out alone. As the founder of LegiLiner — a handwriting tool she created as an educator to help children develop legible, confident writing — she navigated the full journey of building a purpose-driven product business by herself: developing the product, figuring out manufacturing, learning how to market and sell, and finding her way into the conferences and classrooms where her customers lived. There was no roadmap and no community that truly understood her world.

What kept standing out at those conferences across the globe was how many other purpose-driven entrepreneurs were experiencing the exact same thing. Booth after booth, conversation after conversation, Polly kept meeting passionate, talented people — founders of products and programs serving kids, families, schools, individuals with special needs, teachers, and therapists — who were all figuring it out in isolation. The frustration was universal. The loneliness was real.

So Polly did what creative, problem-solving OTs do: she brought people together. She started a Facebook group for entrepreneurs serving children, families, schools, and individuals with special needs — a simple, informal space where people could share, ask questions, and support one another. The response was immediate. The community had found each other, and the need was undeniable.

That Facebook group planted the seed for something bigger. One conversation between Polly and her husband Brian changed everything. They found themselves talking deeply about purpose — what this season of life was calling each of them toward. Polly longed for real community, a place where purpose-driven entrepreneurs could finally belong and grow together. Brian, who had recently stepped away from a long corporate career, is simply wired to serve — to add value to others and pour into people around him. He had seen firsthand the compounding power of the right mastermind community and knew what was possible. In that conversation, PDEE was born.

PDEE officially launched on July 1, 2025. Brian and Polly have committed to reinvesting every membership dollar back into the community. Neither takes a salary. What drives them is simple: giving purpose-driven entrepreneurs the tools, connections, and support to grow without the overwhelm, isolation, or guesswork that most face alone.
